Monday evening after supper, we were relaxing on the porch when Alice, our active idea generator, decided they should play in the pool. Alice filled it up with water from the water barrel to supplement the rain.
Then it started raining really hard, so they came up on the porch to warm up, by eating ice cream. Simon wanted pickle ice cream. He didn't eat the pickle and he barely ate the ice cream, but he sure was happy about it.
Once the downpour subsided, they headed back out.
