On Wednesday morning, we first drove to Ashland to visit another cousin (Seth) with a little baby, then we drove to downtown Mansfield to have a morning on the town. Well, the kiddo part anyway.
Our first stop was Little Buckeyes, a wonderful children's museum. Simon immediately became obsessed with one of the cars. I eventually had to separate him from it by taking him to an entirely different floor.
A floor that, thank goodness, had a train table that kept him occupied for the rest of the time.
Alice hung out with grandma the whole time, but stopped by the transportation room to do some flying.
We left before the kids had any major meltdowns, and got some ice cream at the shop next door. Despite the bulging ice-cream on top of the cone, Alice miraculously never dropped any of it. I had to finish it for her though (poor me).
After our ice-cream treat, we headed across the street to the carousel. Simon only rode one, but Alice and Zac rode several times.
On the last ride, Alice was getting confident to the point where she was trying to stand up while riding her horse. Luckily the ride came to an end soon. This child approaches everything as a jungle gym.
Back at the house the kids had lots of fun playing with grandma and grandpa.
