One of Alice's favorite books recently was If You Give a Pig A Pancake. It started with the girl giving a pig a pancake, then syrup, then a bath, and on and on until pretty soon the pig is wallpapering a tree house in the back yard, and ends with the pig needing some more pancakes. I think it's a cautionary tale for parents.
Now, whenever we have pancakes for breakfast, I recite the first few words of the book to Alice, changing "pig" to "girl" much to her enjoyment.
