While picking up Alice at daycare recently her friend Grayson was just about the go out the front door in his father's arms. Grayson's dad encouraged him to say "goodbye" to Alice, who was up in my arms across the room. He said goodbye but was not satisfied and decided a hug was also in order. He squirmed out of his father's grip and ran over to Alice shouting "Hug!". I wasn't sure what Alice would do but I put her down and, as if it was something that happened everyday, they shared a little hug. Grayson then ran back to his dad and the moment was over. No pictures, of course, so you will just have to believe me when I write that it was a pretty cute sight.
