"Is it dark out?"

Since we carved the pumpkins last weekend Alice has looked forward to it getting dark every evening so she can go light the pumpkins. (We got some little LED lights so she can turn them on.) The pumpkins are still on the table on the porch so she can see them. Every night she asks if it's dark yet. When we finally say its dark enough, usually after supper, she asks which one she's going to light then answers her own question: "The little one."
