Although Zac and I were cracking up, Ms. Kristie felt bad for Simon and eventually pulled him off stage when it became clear he was never going to open his eyes.
Simon's eyes were wide open when he saw cupcakes at the after-party, though.

Simon's school musical performance
On Friday, Simon's class had their spring torture session...ahem...I mean their spring musical performance. Last year Simon panicked, then cried, and I had to hold him. This time he had a different approach. He just screwed his eyes shut. It's weird, because Alice had the same extreme stage fright, which always seemed abnormal given that every single other kid there seems completely fine. I wonder which gene carries the "I cannot face an audience" code.
